Window

Sailing smoothly
Over life's silent waters
All at once
Mind's window
Is thrown open.
A crystal gazer
Gazing at his quartz
For the first time
I discover
Underneath the calm exterior
The surging sea
Of surcharged emotions.
Like a sea gull
I fly over the vast expanse
Familiar sights uncover
Volcanoes erupting from their midst
Hail, storm, thunder and lightning
A dive into the fathomlessness
Reveals still newer vistas
Enchanted, puzzled, exhausted
I return and ponder;
The window shuts once again.
