On Sickness

Having had close encounters
Of the fourth kind
You begin to see the things
You never saw
The colourful display of flowers
In God's creation
The constant chirping of the birds
In the courtyard
The visit of a parrot to the house
Or the dancing of the daisy
Life's loveliness enwraps your whole being
Senses dulled for a long time
Wake up to the nature's sounds
Smells, tastes, sights and soothing touches
Among the beauties of nature
Your soul flies, dances like a bird
Ever eager to receive more
Till the mundane in life
Takes over once more
And we fail to see.
Everything has a purpose in life
We have only to learn
To look beyond
Where all realities are manifest
As the day.
