Curfew

The curfew in the city is extended
I lie under the fan
To escape suffocation and the burning heat,
Trying to cool my thoughts.
My mind, restless, admits no restrain
Concentric waves rise
As those created by the fan
And spread in all directions.
Noble resolves
Of rebellion, freedom and justice
Break all barriers.
No, I will not inflict a curfew on my mind
In fact no one can, I am glad
The uneasy calm outside has only helped
To increase the inner activity.
The seed is powerful enough
To shatter the mightiest chain
The physical bondage
Is of no consequence any more.
